Canadian Rookie Steve Zinger Receives Revolution “Hard Charger” Award

Canadian driver Steve Zinger has been named the recipient of the 2025 Revolution “Hard Charger” award, recognising his standout performances in his Revolution 500SC throughout the season.
Zinger, who drives a 500SC alongside his father Bill Zinger under the Rilli Racing banner, has been campaigning the car in Canada this year. His consistent improvement and strong driving have earned the attention of Revolution’s motorsport academy, which supports emerging talent through limited factory-backed opportunities.
As part of the award, Zinger will be invited to compete in the final round of the Revolution Cup North America at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Texas, scheduled for October 30 to November 2. The prize includes full coverage of race entry and licensing fees, easing the path for the young Canadian to make his debut on the U.S. stage.
The nomination came from Steffen Rilli, Team Principal of Rilli Racing, who has overseen Zinger’s progress throughout the season. Rilli Racing now plans to bring at least two Canadian-entered Revolution 500SC’s to the COTA event, contributing to what looks set to be a strong field for the season finale.
Zinger’s participation in the final round marks a significant step in his development as a driver and highlights the growing impact of Canadian talent in the Revolution series.
