Thunder, lightning and localised Tornadoes can't stop Revolution racing

The opening round of the Sports Prototype Cup North America kicked off last weekend in the Prototype Sprint Series at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.


Revolution Race Cars had a strong presence with three certified dealer teams bringing multiple entrants. Revolution were represented by Esses Racing, Classic Car Club Manhattan & Rilli Racing Inc. It was a busy weekend with testing and Q1 on Friday, Q2 and race 1 on Saturday and the final feature race on Sunday. The schedule on each day was fluid however, as from Saturday onwards the days were impacted by lightning and storm delays. Despite that, all sessions and both races went ahead. From ideal conditions on Friday to more challenging conditions over the weekend, every Revolution driver had a smile from ear to ear as Road Atlanta provided the perfect challenge for both the A-One 500SC and 427.


Revolution dominated both classes throughout the weekend, with the following podiums being achieved by our certfied dealer teams:-


Race 1

PS1 Class 2nd - Jon Field - Revolution 500SC - Classic Car Club 3rd - Zac Moseley - Revolution 500SC - Classic Car Club


PS2 Class

1st - Peter Dyck - Revolution 427 - Rilli Racing 2nd - Alan Shaw - Revolution 427 - Rilli Racing


Race 2

PS1 Class 2nd - Zac Moseley - Revolution 500SC - Classic Car Club

3rd - Jon Field - Revolution 500SC - Classic Car Club


PS2 Class

1st - Peter Dyck - Revolution 427 - Rilli Racing 2nd - Alan Shaw - Revolution 427 - Rilli Racing


Of note, the fastest lap of the entire weekend for any car was from Dylan Murry in a Revolution A-One 500SC in the Endurance race, recording a 1:20.612. This was 4 tenths quicker than the closest rival in an SR10.
