The Revolution Cup North America roared into life at Sebring International Raceway last weekend, delivering three action-packed races in an impressive 19-car prototype grid. With both the Revolution Cup PS1 and PS2 classes battling it out across the iconic Florida circuit, the season opener set the tone for an ultra-competitive 2026 campaign.
Revolution driver coach for the weekend, Guy Cosmo, set a 2:02 lap in a Revolution 500 EVO, laying down the benchmark for drivers and providing valuable data ahead of testing and qualifying.
Riley Dominates PS2 – and Turns Heads Overall
PS2 driver and global autism advocate, Austin Riley was the standout performer of the weekend. The #20 Revolution 427 driver stormed to pole position in class and raised eyebrows by outqualifying all of the higher-powered PS1 machines.
Riley converted that pace into perfection on race day, securing a clean sweep of three PS2 victories. His commanding performance marked him as an early title contender and one to watch as the season unfolds.
James Dennison, returning to the series in the #44 Revolution 427, showed steady progression throughout the weekend. With limited testing, Dennison improved race by race and secured second place in Revolution Cup PS2 in all three contests, a strong foundation for the rounds ahead.

Straus Shines on Debut in PS1
In the premier PS1 category, Ari Straus made an immediate impact on his Revolution Cup debut. Driving the #95 Revolution 500 EVO, Straus claimed two Revolution Cup PS1 victories from three races.
Straus had to contend with seasoned regulars Chris Hinojosa (#62) and John Ulmer (#46), both piloting Revolution 500 EVO machinery. Race 1 saw Straus take victory ahead of Hinojosa and Ulmer in the Revolution Cup PS class, stamping his authority on the weekend early.
Race 2 brought changing conditions, and Hinojosa rose to the occasion. Mastering the wet Sebring surface, he delivered a composed drive to take the Revolution Cup PS1 win, with Straus and Ulmer completing the Revolution Cup podium.
In Race 3, Straus restored his dominance, but not without pressure. Ulmer pushed hard throughout the contest, keeping the #95 honest all the way to the checkered flag, while Hinojosa rounded out the Revolution Cup PS1 podium.
