Austin Riley will arrive at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) for the final round of the 2026 Revolution Cup North America season (5-8 Nov) with the title already secured, following a remarkable debut campaign with Rilli Racing at the wheel of a Revolution 427.

The Racing With Autism driver clinched the title at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) in September, with one round remaining in the series. The six‑weekend, 18‑race sprint series has this season been staged primarily on Racing America weekends, and visits some of North America’s most prestigious circuits.

Riley made an immediate impression on his Revolution Cup North America debut at Sebring International Raceway, winning all three PS2 class races. His momentum continued further into the season as at the next three events at Road Atlanta, Road America and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Riley repeated the clean sweeps, establishing himself as the driver to beat.

At VIR, a broken driveshaft ended his winning streak and forced his first retirement of the year, but Riley had already secured enough points through a victory and a second-place finish in the weekend’s other two races to secure the title with a round to spare.

With all but two races won so far this season, Riley’s results highlight the competitive potential of the Revolution 427 and the opportunities offered in the Revolution Cup North America.

Nigel Redwood, Managing Director, Revolution Race Cars: “Congratulations to Austin on his outstanding debut season. Austin has not only dominated the PS2 class, but has also regularly beaten more powerful machinery competing in PS1. He has represented Rilli Racing, Racing With Autism and Revolution Race Cars impeccably all year.

“This is a superb swansong for the 427. For nearly a decade, it has proven itself to be a race winning car in championships as diverse as Sports Prototype Cup in both Europe and Korea, and in the PSSA North American championship. It provided the basis for our LMP3-rivalling 500 EVO that remains the flagship of our range, and has just been replaced by the Revolution HyperSport in our range.”

Racing with a wider purpose

Beyond his success on-track, Riley’s season carries a wider significance through his work with Racing With Autism, his platform used to promote inclusion and a greater understanding of autism through motorsport.

Diagnosed with autism at a young age, Riley found his calling in karting at age seven. The focus and structure of the sport provided an environment in which he could develop his confidence and independence, ultimately leading to a successful professional racing career.

Today, he uses his profile to encourage greater inclusion and demonstrate the opportunities available to young people. Visits to schools and engagement with young fans have been an important part of the Racing With Autism programme throughout the season, such as a visit to Jefferson Middle School in Chicago ahead of the Road America round in May.

Austin Riley reflects on the 2026 season: “It feels good, very happy to have another championship under my belt. The Revolution has been great, it’s a great car. I love it. Revolution and Rilli Racing have been amazing this year, I am now looking forward to COTA in November. Winning races and beating drivers in faster cars has been truly special.

“We thank Jay Nolan Community Services, Lincoln Electric, Peak Auto, CEC Facilities, Hammond Manufacturing, Cal-Chip Electronics, ACL, Hunter Amenities, Jiffy Lube, Forest Contractors, Wrap Force and Utech Electronics for their support.“

Revolution HyperSport creates new racing opportunities for 2027

Riley’s title-winning debut season comes as Revolution Race Cars moves its all-new Revolution HyperSport into production, following a successful summer development and testing programme. Designed to combine the driveability of GT3/GT4-type cars with the performance, safety and efficiency of modern prototypes, HyperSport opens up further opportunities for drivers looking to compete at some of the world’s most famous circuits.

Austin who recently drove the HyperSport boldly labelled it “The best handling race car I have ever driven, and I have driven a lot!”

Built around the principle of ‘less downtime, more tracktime’, the 350 bhp, 680 kg machine has been engineered to deliver performance that drivers can exploit with confidence, lap after lap. Easy serviceability also makes the car an attractive proposition for individual drivers and arrive and drive teams alike.

The first ten championships, series and events to welcome HyperSport were confirmed in September, encompassing more than 30 iconic circuits. For North American customers, confirmed opportunities include the newly rebranded Racing America, which incorporates Revolution Cup North America, as well as the Zenith Racing Series, FARA, NASA, HSR and WRL.

With the first HyperSport build slots full, reservations are now being taken for customer delivery in 2027. The all-new track car has been engineered to deliver professional prototype-level performance, world-leading safety and low operating costs in a package designed for both serious track day drivers and competitive racers.

For drivers inspired by Riley’s achievements, Revolution’s arrive and drive opportunities with its 500 EVO or HyperSport models offer a route into competitive prototype racing, without the need to manage every aspect of car ownership, preparation and maintenance independently.

Redwood added: “For drivers who want to follow a similar path to Austin, the HyperSport is our newest and most attainable offering, designed to offer drivers genuine prototype performance with a focus on safety, reliability and ease of operation. With more than 30 tracks now covered by confirmed racing opportunities across Europe and North America, and more to come, customers have real choice in how and where they compete.”

The Revolution Cup North America season concludes at Circuit of The Americas from 5-8 November, where more than 10 Revolutions are expected to line up for the final round of the season.
