The Revolution 500 EVO has been awarded a maximum five-star rating in evo magazine’s prestigious ‘Best Trackday Cars for 2026’ group test, making it one of only a select few cars to achieve the publication’s highest accolade.
Described by evo magazine as delivering “astonishing performance” and “mind-blowing downforce”, the Revolution 500 EVO stood out among some of the world’s most exciting track-focused machinery.
In its assessment, evo magazine said: “What better track car than just an outright racer? That’s what the Revolution 500 EVO is, a blistering carbon-tubbed, 500bhp prototype in the image of the very fastest top-flight endurance racers.”
The test noted the car’s exceptional aerodynamic capability, highlighting its ability to generate 800 kg of downforce at 130 mph, while its 500 bhp supercharged 3.5-litre V6 engine delivers a sensational power-to-weight ratio of 608 bhp per tonne.
Capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in approximately 2.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 185 mph, the Revolution 500 EVO combines prototype-racing performance with an engaging and rewarding driving experience.
evo magazine deputy editor James Taylor praised the car’s unique character, saying:
“Once you’ve had a lap or two to adapt, you’re having too much fun to be frightened. As well as being devastatingly fast, the 500 EVO is also an entertainer. There’s big grip of course, but it’s anything but an on-rails racing machine. You’re correcting slides, working with the car, making a difference. You’re totally engaged.”
The magazine also recognised the balance between outright performance and driver involvement, observing that the car “bends the laws of physics” while remaining communicative and rewarding behind the wheel.
Nigel Redwood, Managing Director, Revolution Race Cars stated:
“This is a tremendous endorsement of everything the Revolution 500 EVO was designed to achieve. The car was created to deliver a genuine prototype racing experience while remaining accessible and hugely rewarding for drivers. To receive a five-star rating from one of the world’s most respected performance car publications is something the entire team is incredibly proud of.”
Since its introduction, the Revolution 500 EVO has established itself as one of the most advanced customer race cars available, combining lightweight carbon-fibre construction, sophisticated aerodynamics and exceptional performance in a package designed specifically for drivers seeking the ultimate circuit experience.
The five-star verdict from evo magazine further reinforces the Revolution 500 EVO’s position among the very finest track-focused cars available today. The £198,000 racer was in good company, sharing its five-star rating with the £288,000 Dallara EXP, £298,000 Manthey Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RS and £250,000 McLaren Artura Trophy Evo.
The family grows:

This summer, the flagship Revolution 500 EVO will be joined by the even lighter Revolution HyperSport, with more than 430 bhp per tonne and a performance philosophy that is exhilarating, not intimidating. HyperSport is an all-new concept, available to order now and priced below £120,000. The Revolution HyperSport has been engineered to deliver engaging and approachable performance for both competitive racers and serious track day drivers and sits alongside its five-star big brother in the Revolution Race Cars lineup.
